1. Use there

a. in phrases like there are, there is, and there were.
b. to mean “that place.”

2. Use their to mean “belonging to them”—like their teddy bear.

3. Use they’re as a contraction of “they are”—like they’re eating.

Directions: Choose the correct choice of there, their, or they’re in the sentences below. We’ve underlined the first one for you.
